Telegyr 709

  • Developed by the Landis & Gyr company, the telecontrol protocol Telegyr 709 enables the coupling of control stations to Telegyr 709 substations.

    There are two protocol variants:

    • Telegyr 709
which uses the proprietary PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) format to encode data as 60-bit words with a 16-bit checksum.
    • Telegyr 709 USART
which uses the asynchronous standard format with start bit, data bits, parity and stop bit for data encoding.
