Siemens S5 automation devices are connected over a Sinec-H1 bus. The
XMAT protocol based on Sinec-H1 is used to realize communication between
the protocol converter ipConv and the Simatic S5 devices. The uplink
connection runs on
Harris-5000/6000. At the turn of 1999, the protocol converter was linked up to the
