I-SHAPE

This project involves the coupling of SIMATIC S5 control devices over XMAT / Sinec-H1
to a IEC 870-5-101 control station.
The ipConv protocol converter handles the protocol conversion.
A total of 15 tower PCs industrial version are used as the hardware platform for
coupling several stations.
The converters are fitted with integrated screens and keyboards as the man-machine
interface (MMI) for data traffic monitoring and data entry.
Background
Plant operator is PEA (Provincial Electricity Authority),
one of the largest energy providers in Thailand.
The service area comprises about 510,000 kmē, or 99% of the country, and covers 73
provinces.
