Communication between the control system and the ipConv protocol converter is
realized via the
IEC 60870-5-101 protocol in balanced mode. The protocol converter acts as a slave.
The telecontrol transformer TCT takes care of communication to the
substation via the Indactic 21 protocol. In this case, the protocol converter
acts as a master.
Unlike the 'Bayernwerk version' (Interconnection BAGZV, EWAG), communication is implemented in
both control and monitoring direction.
