SEC3M

When a secure and reliable wireless communication is required, SEC3M delivers convincing performance with its integrated multiband 4G LTE modem with 3G/2G fallback.

It enables worldwide connectivity of communication devices, even in remote areas, and offers seamless roaming across various global mobile networks. Thus, SEC3M is suitable for all applications that rely on future-proof LTE technology.

Advanced TLS/SSL encryption methods guarantee a high level of security for the reliable TCP/IP connections of SEC3M (end-to-end encryption).

The SEC3M features an LTE/UMTS/GSM main antenna interface as well as an additional LTE/UMTS diversity antenna interface to improve signal quality and signal strength.

SEC3M is based on the embedded controller SEC3, and is equally designed for use in industrial applications. It has no rotating parts. A fan is not required due to the low power requirement.

SEC3M has two serial RS232/RS422/RS485 interfaces and two Ethernet adapters. Thanks to a redundant power feed-in, different input voltages can be used.

SEC3M is used in combination with the products ipRoute, ipConvLite and ip4Cloud. The system is supplied with the newest version of our real-time ipLinux operating system.

The device is equipped with a status relay, which can be freely configured by the software. In the case of power failures or non-fulfillment of a user-defined condition a changeover switch switches into the idle state "FAIL".

Various diagnostic functions are available via built-in LEDs. A power indicator, transmit and receive indicator for the serial interfaces as well as an indicator for the network controller provide information about the current operating status. Whereas a CPU LED indicates the operating mode of the software, a further LED displays the availability of the cellular network and other related events.
