  • IPCOMM ipConvLite gateways connect the PACIS server (slave) with the superordinate control stations.
    ipConvLite gateway and e-terracontrol station communicate by IEC 60870-5-104 protocol. The gateway is configured as "slave".
    ipConvLite gateway and PACIS server also communicate by IEC 60870-5-104 protocol. Here, the gateway is configured as "master".
    The connection of the Vattenfall master stations is done via Modbus protocol.
    As hardware platform our industrial pc IPC191V3WIN 19" 1U with a CompactFlash (MTBF ≥ 1,000,000 h) as mass storage is used.

    The coupling of the Profibus field devices (slave) with the superordinate control stations is realised with ipConvPM gateways.
    The communication between ipConvPM gateway and field device runs over the protocol Profibus DPV0. The gateway is configured as "master".
    The communication between ipConvPM gateway and master station runs over IEC 60870-5-104. The gateway is configured as "slave".
    Our DIN-rail embedded controller HECPM without rotating parts is used here. It is equipped with a sending and receipt display for communication by default. Each gateway transmits max. 2,000 information with a total of 7 kByte (3.5 kByte in each direction).
    The protocol Profibus DPV0 doesn't support the transmission of a time stamp. However, the information may be time-stamped at gateway site. The gateway time is synchronised via master station by IEC 60870-5-104 protocol or a separate time server over NTP.
